Clog-Free Design

Replacing previous workhorse Model SX-80, the new SX-90 Solder Extractor Desoldering Iron has been improved so that is does not clog! Heaters have been re-engineered to transfer heat better through the length of new SX-90 Tips. The new SX-90 Tips will not clog because the isolated hot solder path is designed to stay well above solder melt temperature, preventing even Lead-Free solder from solidifying.

travel down end of stainless steel solder transfer tube. Stainless steel tube itself
has also been widened/flared (2nd circle) on end to eliminate solder clogging

Modular, Plug-in Heater is Easy to Remove and Install

The SX-90 has a modular heater design. Remove two screws and unplug the heater. Plug in the replacement heater and replace the two screws. Two minutes tops! No Wires, no calibration, no hassle.

Take new Flux/Sodr Trap . . .

How to Upgrade Your old SX-80 or SX-70 Sodr-X-Tractors to the New SX-90!

Buy a new SX-90 Handpiece: SX-90 is 100% backward compatible with all previous PACE SensaTemp and IntelliHeat power sources.

Or replace your SX-80 Heater: Older style SX-80 Heaters are no longer available, so you automatically upgrade to an SX-90 design when you replace your heater!

YOU MUST USE SX-90 TIPS: You cannot realize the clog-free benefits of the SX-90 if you continue to use the older style SX-80 Tips (still available for those who cannot/will not upgrade).

If you own the SX-80 Solder Extractor (top handpiece with YELLOW markings), you'll want to upgrade to SX-90 (bottom handpiece with BLUE markings)
